Netflix Assassin’s Creed writer Jeb Stuart has announced his departure from the series. Netflix and Ubisoft announced the work on the live action Assassin’s Creed series in collaboration in October 2020. However, there has been no sign or progress regarding the series for the past 2 years.
Why Jeb Stuart As Storywriter for Netflix Series Assassin’s Resigned
Quoted from PC Gamer, Stuart was reluctant to reveal in detail the reasons why he withdrew from the triple A game series adaptation project. However, he said that there were different visions and ideologies in the creation of the Netflix series.
I think there was a change of executives from Los Angeles to London. This change gives the London executive access to authority that goes against my vision and viewpoint of the series. They force the development of their vision.
I consider resignation to be equivalent. The people from Ubisoft are great with a great game series, it’s a pleasure to know and work with them
It’s a shame Jeb Stuart has left the project
In fact, choosing Jeb Stuart as a writer is the right step for Ubisoft and Netflix. As a veteran action film writer, he has written scripts for the film Die Hard which exploded in the 90s. Apart from that, there are also films Leviathan, Just Cause, and Another 48 Hours which he also worked on. Meanwhile, in collaboration with Netflix, Stuart was involved in a viking-themed film entitled Vikings: Valhalla until its second season.
Meanwhile, for a replacement, Netflix and Ubisoft have not provided any news regarding this. The Assassin’s Creed Serial project was rumored back in 2017 and was finally officially announced in 2020. Since its first announcement, there has been no news about which stories have been captured or who the actors in the series are. Making Serial Asssassin’s Creed start to be forgotten.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collaborates With Monster Hunter World
A few weeks ago, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla collaborated with Capcom’s action RPG game, Monster Hunter World. This collaboration can be accessed now where Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players can dress Eivor, Mount, and Scout with iconic skins themed on the game Monster Hunter World.
The collaboration includes an armor set for Eivor inspired by Odogaron in Monster Hunter World, an Odogaron Skin Mount, as well as a skin that transforms Scout into a miniature replica of Legiana.
How? Will the writer’s resignation have a big impact on story changes in the Assassin’s Creed series later?
Hi, its Martin, I am a gamer and a writer. I love exploring games of varied genres and writing blogs about them.
