Jun Kazama returns to the Tekken Franchise
Tekken 8 continues to parade its characters and, for the most diehard fans, this time it’s time for the great return of Jun Kazama.
The character has been missing for many years and, until the last moment, fans hoped to be able to see her in past episodes of the franchise (such as Tekken 7), but they were left disappointed.
A new trailer that arrives while Tekken 8 continues to be very mysterious, so much so that even the gameplay has been sipped in recent months, as well as the release date information, which Bandai Namco has kept to itself likewise.
Jun Kazama has been missing in action since Tekken 2, according to the game’s story canon. She only appeared in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but being a narrative spin-off of sorts she doesn’t really matter to pure fans of the Tekken characters and story.
However, Jin Kazama’s mother is back in Tekken 8 and in addition to being in great shape, she gives us the impression of being someone who shouldn’t be joked with, even if she is peaceful.
In addition to showing us her elegant fighting style, the trailer also gives us a look at a newly revealed new combat stage, which takes players to an enchanting looking forest.
Jun is very likely to play a key role in the story of the fighting game, which focuses on the father-son confrontation between Kazuya and Jin.
Meanwhile we were able to discover, or at least imagine, what the return as Jin Kazama might be like, but also Paul Phoenix and his incredible hair, Marshall Law who is always as electrifying as we remembered him, the lightning-fast Lars, the mighty King and his charisma from ring and Jack-8’s artificial intelligence.
Tekken 8 is the next chapter in Bandai Namco’s fighting game series, which will offer new characters, new game mechanics and finally next-gen graphics. At the moment, an official release date has not been announced, but the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
