Every year, technology companies, including those engaged in gaming products, always innovate for their newest line of products, this is what Razer also does. Webcams, which have become a staple for the past few years, continue to receive support, the latest being the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra.
The Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra has been officially announced as the webcam with the “largest sensor” in a webcam that has DSLR-like quality. Razer himself promises that the image quality will be even better and suitable for use by gamers and content creators with minimal use via a simple plug n play.
The Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra uses a very large size sensor – Sony 1/1.2′′ STARVISTM 2 with a pixel size of 2.9 μm to capture more light and image data in every pixel for great detail and color.
To maximize its potential, Kiyo Pro Ultra is equipped with a special ultra-large aperture F/1.7 lens that can capture almost four times as much light as compared to other webcams, providing sharp and clear images even in low light conditions.
Recording quality can go from native 4K 30 FPS (or 1080P 60 FPS) to 4K 24 FPS, 1440p 30 FPS, or uncompressed 1080p 60 FPS right into your stream. To ensure the creator is always the center of attention, Kiyo Pro Ultra’s AI-powered Face Tracking Auto-focus tracks the user’s face to ensure sharp and stable focus while blurring the background thanks to the bokeh effect. All this without the need for additional hardware or software.
There is also a High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature at 30FPS, creators can produce more true-to-life colors as this webcam can fine-tune lighting and contrast while correcting areas that are over or underexposed, to add more visual detail and texture that makes colors pop. Creators can take this even further with Razer Synapse which allows them to fine-tune or change the quality of their content with a comprehensive selection of customizable settings, including ISO, shutter speed, pan, tilt and more.
The Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra will be available starting February 2023. You can buy it for USD 299.99 and it will be available at Razer.com and RazerStore, as well as various favorite stores.
