“It was actually cold, it was very cold,” Theron began by explaining. “It looks hot, yes, but it was freezing. We had a lot of cases of hypothermia. Especially the young girls who only wear bandages. Many of them suffered from hypothermia. I was freezing just because when you don’t have hair on your head, you forget that it is a tool of heat,” he continues. Mad Max: Fury Road is quite a light show with some very handcrafted special effects that are combined with some gigantic explosions, but between takes of that there were artists peeling from the cold. If we add to this the problems that the actress had with Tom Hardy, we may be facing a somewhat hellish project for her.
“The most important thing, and what drove the whole production, was fear. I was incredibly scared, because I had never done anything like this. I think the most difficult thing between George and I is that he had the movie in his head and he was very desperate. for understanding it”, commented the actress about the filming process.
