According to confirmation from the Deadline medium, actress Kate Dickie was signed by Marvel for the Loki series to be the villain of season 2.
The second season of Loki is one of the most anticipated projects by Marvel Studios fans right now. It is the only series that at this point will premiere a season 2 and it is not for less. Loki’s story has great significance in the current Multiverse Saga, since it practically showed us the moment when madness broke loose. The show will bring back Tom Hiddleston in his role as the god of mischief. We will also see Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie and Owen Wilson as Mobius.
In the first season, Loki is captured by the Time Variation Authority (TVA). This as a result of having escaped his fate away from the clutches of the Avengers who stopped him in the battle of New York. In the TVA, Mobius requests the services of Loki to capture who would turn out to be a variant of Loki himself, named Sylvie. After a series of situations in which we know more variants of Loki, we end up discovering that the one behind everything is an entity called the One Who Remains, a variant of Kang, The Conqueror. It was here that we saw the first version of the great villain of the Multiverse Saga.
The actress Kate Dickie will be the great villain of Loki in its season 2
Now that Loki finds himself in a predicament being trapped in another timeline than his own, we’ll see how events have turned out. Although Kang turns out to be the full-scale villain, it looks like there will be a new face as an antagonist.
As reported by Deadline, a mysterious new villain will appear in the second season of Loki. In this case she will be a villain. It will be played by actress Kate Dickie, whom we previously had the opportunity to see in productions like Game of Thrones, to give an example. However, although it is known that the actress will have an antagonistic role, there are no more details about it. So we will have to wait for new information.
The arrival of Kate Dickie marks the debut of a new Game of Thrones star at Marvel Studios. It was previously done by Emilia Clarke, who will appear in Secret Invasion. The same steps were also followed by Richard Madden and Kit Harrington, whom we saw in Eternals.
It will be interesting to see the role that Kate Dickie will have against Loki. Especially if we take into account that Jonathan Majors’ Kang left the bar high as a villain. Even so, I’m sure that Kate Dickie’s character will manage to put the God of Mischief in trouble.
The Multiverse Saga continues to move forward and we hope that Ant-Man 3 gives us some clues as to what we can expect to see in the second season of Loki.
