Genshin Impact 3.4 leaks have started surfacing online, giving travelers new details on upcoming character banners, map updates, and other new content. Here’s everything we know so far about Genshin Impact 3.4.
The Genshin Impact 3.4 update may be some way off, but that hasn’t stopped leakers from shedding light on the game’s next update. Travelers are currently enjoying the content added as part of the 3.2 update, with Nahida’s banner being the main draw. We are also all very aware of version 3.3.
However, the 3.4 update will also include a number of interesting additions. This is especially true since Lisa and Ayaka’s skins are rumored to make their first appearance in this update.
Is there a Genshin Impact 3.4 release date?
HoYoverse has yet to reveal the official release date for the Genshin Impact 3.4 update. However, with update 3.3 releasing on December 7, 2022, we can expect update 3.4 to be released on January 17 or 18.
Of course, this is just speculation based on the game’s current release schedule. We’ll be sure to update this section once more details are revealed. Keep in mind that the release date could be delayed due to any unforeseen event, and it would not be the first time.
Presentation of the version
The presentation of version 3.4 will take place on January 6 at 1:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time. We will update this article with all the news.
characters banner
According to renowned Genshin Impact leaker SaveYourPrimos, Genshin Impact 3.4 banners will see the release of Alhaitham. This upcoming 5-star character has been seen wielding a sword, Xiphos’ Moonlight, and wields a Dendro vision.
While information about this mysterious character’s abilities remains scant, we do know that he believes that “gods and humans should have equal status in Teyvat, and should help each other.”
He is also rumored to be joined by Yaoyao, a 4-star Dendro character who works as Ganyu’s assistant. Since HoYoverse has already officially revealed Yaoyao, this would confirm his arrival in the next patch. The leaker also notes that Shenhe, Hu Tao, and Ayaka will receive a rerun in this patch.
According to the leaks at the end of November, the banners would be as follows:
- First part: Shenhe and maybe Ayaka (because of her skin)
- Part Two: Alhacen and Hu Tao
Ayaka and Lisa skin
Genshin Impact leaker UncleDD has stated that both Ayaka and Lisa will be the next characters to receive their own skins. The leaker explains that Ayaka will have her own “school uniform” themed skin and that she is a bit of a “homebody”. The uniform could refer to the classic of a dojo.
Meanwhile, 4-star character Lisa is rumored to be receiving her own “Sumeru-style” cosmetic. This leak is certainly plausible since the mage was “considered the Academy’s most distinguished alumnus.”
According to the leaks, this would be the appearance of the skins:
New Sumeru Map Update
The main POI for Update 3.4 is Sandstorm, which is separated into three layers/subregions. BLANK notes that travelers will be able to explore the inner, middle, and outer sections of Sandstorm.
While no images have given us a detailed look at this new area, BLANK has highlighted that the following areas can be explored:
- gurabad city
- Black Market of the Hermits (Accessible through a rift)
- sand ruins
- Sandworm Boss Cave
- Aranara cave
- King Deshret’s Cave
- Cave of the God of Wisdom
- Kusanali Cave
- The Scarlet King’s Cup cave (Boss arena, probably linked to a world quest)
- eternal oasis
- ruin golems
- grass dragon cave
There’s also the addition of a new world boss: the deadly sandworm that inhabits the desert region. Travelers will be able to fight this monolithic creature by entering the Sandworm Boss Cave.
We will update the list of locations with their official translations once they are available.
Genshin Impact 3.4 Events
Not much is known about the events of Genshin Impact 3.4, but the renowned leaker, Yukizero, has discovered the following:
- When the Rose Blooms Again: “perform martial arts to share your heart.”
- Pocket bug fight event.
- Sea Lantern Festival: includes the boat, parkour and other activities.
The Lantern Rite is rumored to return in 3.4 and Mero notes that players will be able to unlock a 4-star Liyue character for free. If that wasn’t exciting enough, Yaoyao, Dendro’s next 4-star character, will also be available to choose from.
While details about the events of the Rite are pretty scant, Honey Impact has provided the following details about the four mini-games that will be available:

Sumeru’s new gadget
Images of a new Genshin Impact gadget have surfaced online. This item is said to be necessary for sailing in desert sandstorms. A Reddit commenter notes that it’s “similar to the Chasm’s Lightstone, so you’ll need to replenish it by visiting shrines around the area to clear gritty obstacles.”
We’ll likely hear more about this upcoming device and its various interactions once we get closer to the 3.4 release date.

Genshin Impact’s card game is very popular among travelers, and for 3.4 it will add two new cards.
