The Final Fantasy franchise is one of Square Enix’s golden eggs and the launch of several games in the saga during the next 2023 proves it. This time the leading role is for Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. It is true that this collection has already arrived this year for PC, Android and iOS, in addition to the fact that Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster was also launched in 2022, but this time we already have official confirmation from the Japanese company.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will be released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023
After their ESRB classification, they have already confirmed via Twitter that Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will be released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch during the spring of 2023. From Gamingbolt they collect that you can also get a special edition called Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remaster – FF35th Anniversary Edition- via the official Square Enix store.
This edition includes a physical version of these titles, items from the Anniversary Edition, a pair of vinyls with music, illustrations by Kazuko Shibuya, an art book, eight pixel art character figures, and a lenticular sleeve. The price of this edition is around 274.99 euros and it will be a limited version. Of course, at least the game has many benefits that improve certain sections.
This remastering draws attention for a renewed and improved 2D section, a modified soundtrack, a game interface standardized to current canons, automatic battle options, bestiaries, and other aspects. Even so, despite these news, the price of the games generated controversy in its announcement, but it is an interesting option if you are nostalgic for these titles.
Other important Square Enix games for 2023
The next triple A titles that Square Enix is preparing are quite encouraging.
