Did you know that there are new episodes of Dragon Ball Super and that some characters we saw in Dragon Ball GT are being killed off? We tell you all about it!
A couple of months ago, the new Dragon Ball Super saga, created by Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro, kicked off. As usual, you can read these new adventures in Manga Plus, the application of Shueisha, legal and free, in which you can enjoy a wide range of digital manga.
Well, a few days ago the new chapter of the series was released, which we analyzed right here, and it left us with more than one surprise: without going any further, they have killed off a character from Dragon Ball GT!
Already in the first chapter of the new saga, which serves as a prequel to the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, we witnessed one of the first “killings.” It turns out that teenage Trunks has no interest whatsoever in becoming the director of the Capsule Corporation, a position he does occupy in Dragon Ball GT.
As you know, the GT episodes are not canon because they were not created by Akira Toriyama, but was an exclusive project of Toei Animation. Thus, in case anyone still had any doubts, the new Dragon Ball Super saga is determined to break completely with the series that arrived at the end of the 90s.
And another example of this can be seen in the second episode of the new arc, where another character from Dragon Ball GT has been killed off: Bra, Trunks’ sister!
While in GT we were presented with a simplistic and capricious Bra, with a superficial mentality and a passion for shopping, in Dragon Ball Super, the canonical work, this character is totally different. Right from the start, she is presented as a real brainiac who has inherited the skills and intelligence of her mother, Bulma, as this scene below makes abundantly clear!
Trunks, unable to solve the computer’s technical problems, has to surrender to his sister’s prodigy to get by. Without a doubt, this Bra completely destroys her version of GT, making her much, much more interesting.
What do you think of this new Bra, did you expect such a radical change in the character? Kai, Kai!
