Another bombshell for the list: Blasphemous 2 celebrates release date with new trailer
Seville-based studio The Game Kitchen confirms release date and celebrates with a new trailer.
2023 is a year full of releases: we come from the new Link adventure, soon we will be with Clive in Final Fantasy XVI and in the final stretch of the year we expect Alan Wake 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, among others. But there are many more and Blasphemous 2 is one of the highlights, as the sequel to The Game Kitchen’s action platformer is highly anticipated by the community.
So today is a day to celebrate, because Blasphemous 2 already has a release date: it will be next August 24. This has been confirmed by the Spanish studio, who wanted to celebrate the news with a new and intense trailer that will put the teeth long to all those who hope to get back into the skin of The Penitent. You have the video just above these lines.
What is Blasphemous 2 about?
Blasphemous 2 has a deep and nuanced story, with a slightly cryptic tone on more than one occasion and always has an ace up its sleeve to surprise. In the official synopsis we find the following: “The second script of the Blasphemous saga foretells the return of The Penitent, with a story that starts from the free DLC Wounds of Eventide of the original game, where the Heart in the sky announced the return of the Miracle and prophesied the birth of a new miraculous child. Awakened in a strange new land and displaced from his final resting place, The Penitent is thrown back into the endless cycle of life, death and resurrection, with no choice but to explore this dangerous new world and discover its long-forgotten secrets.”
